Getting bigger.....

So this week we met with our new Dr. from Baystate, Dr. Fitzgerald, for the first time.  Everything went well and it was an uneventful appointment which I guess is what we are hoping for.  The babies are growing as expected and so am I!  I have gained 8 pounds and from what I have been reading the babies are now about 5 inches each!  That's a lot of baby!  Mike and I got to hear two distinct, clear heartbeats at our appointment on Tuesday.  They were both in the 150 range which is standard from what we're told.  Our exciting news is that we finally set the date for our next ultrasound.  November 10th we have a one hour ultrasound and then our regular one month check up immediately following.  We are both so excited to see the babies again.  I am anxious to see how much they have grown and developed.  From what you see online and in books, by week 20 (which is where we will be when we get our next ultrasound), they actually start to look more like babies and less like aliens.  So, three weeks and 3 days and counting.   For those of you that have voted on our poll,  we will also find out the sex of the babies.  Looks like at this point most people are guessing boys????  Only time will tell....  If you haven't voted already, please let us know what you think.

We are also making some good progress in the nursery renovation project.  Dave and Andrew came over to help last Sunday and the closet in the nursery got framed and they actually got some dry wall up too so it is looking more and more like a room.  Today Mike and I have been scraping speckle off of the ceiling in the hallway (and thinking about maybe also tackling it in the nursery in the days to come).  Tomorrow my dad and Mike are going to put in a full days worth of work and unfortunately I won't be able to supervise since I will be at work myself... but we should be in good shape in no time.  Please vote on the sex of the babies if you haven't already!!!    :)
