I can't believe it's Sunday already! This was my first official week as a stay at home mommy. Things went great and I LOVED not having to get up at 4:30 on Tuesday morning but I have to admit that felt weird and it did feel like a longer week in general. I am working on establishing a new routine with the boys now that our weeks will be semi-predictable.

This week we had two nights where the boys slept until 5 am without getting up to eat! Just when we started to get excited and spread the word, we jinxed ourselves and have been back tracking since. I am not sure that we have figured out any rhyme or reason to their nights of good sleep but we are certainly keeping our fingers crossed for many more in the near future! I have also been giving up my middle of the night pumping session for the most part which has been amazing and has meant an extra hour of sleep for me!

We had a great week! The boys personalities and sense of humor are certainly starting to develop. Nap has become a time of fun and games for Aiden and Chris. At the end of last week, I began the dreaded task of swapping out their clothes for the next size.... I hate doing this project just about as much as I hate switching out my season clothes. Well, maybe its not THAT bad... after all, I do get excited to put the boys in new outfits. In any case, I was on the floor in their bedroom sorting clothes while they were starting to fall asleep. At least that's what I thought until I noticed a set of eyes peeking from under Chris's bumper... The best part is that when I saw him he started laughing! He cracked me and himself up! As I went to settle him back in, I peeked in on Aiden only to find that he had also been busy and had redecorated his crib. He undid his bumper and had is in the middle of his crib and was eating it as an after lunch snack. Like his brother, Aiden also smiled and laughed when he realized I was watching. I can now appreciate how parents find it very hard to discipline when their childen do something bad but entertaining!

On Saturday we went to Grammie & Dziadz's to celebrate Dziadz & GG Mimi's birthdays! Dziadz and Mike did some wood hauling and cutting in the morning and afternoon and Laura and Tommy met up with us later for a later lunch and dessert. We had a great time. The boys especially loved Grammie & Dziadz's dog, Maddie. Maddie was fond of the boys as well, especially Aiden after he had finished his lunch and had food all over his face. Both Chris and Aiden squint their eyes when they see Maddie in anticipation of getting licked. It's pretty funny!

Mike got out last night for a bit with a few of his friends to watch a fight. I didn't ask any details but I know it was a late night and he reported that he had a lot of fun. That's enough to make me happy :)

Today we went to an outdoor service at our church this morning. The boys were dressed in 3 layers since it was 39 degrees before we left out house! I hate to admit it but fall and winter are on their way! The service was nice and they had a picnic after which was a lot of fun! The afternoon turned out to be gorgeous! Who could ask for better weather?!?

Mike leaves tomorrow for a retreat for work and will be gone until Wednesday night. It has been a while since hes been away so this should be interesting for all of us. The boys and I are staying busy but are very much looking forward to his return. I personally can not wait to have help with the nightly feedings again! I will let you know how it goes and will be keeping my fingers crossed for 2 more nights of the boys sleeping until 5 am.... If only I could be that lucky :)
