Kessy & Sampson - The boys new puppy friends!

Gina and Aiden enjoying some puppy love!

The boys were exhausted after a fun day at the Vanwingerden's house & greenhouse!

Splish, splash I was.... what??? Washing my hands in the toilet? Yes, that's right! The boys discovered the fun in the toilet this week as well as how to lift the seat when we are responsible enough to remember to close it! (Sorry I wasn't quick enough to snag any pictures!) Ughh... so begins the start of a dirty adventure filled road!

We've had a great week. For a week of "nothing" we have managed to fill each day with something special to look forward to. Play school was closed this week because it is school vacation and Grammie Hopkins is enjoying some time in South Caroline so we had a clean slate with nothing planned! But... we are managing to stay busy and cause some trouble!

Poor Aiden has a rough morning on Monday. He woke up and was out of sorts and after a crying fest and a visit from Grammie Pt., he seemed to be back to his old self. Good thing for Grammies that have the magic touch! Since the mood seemed to clear up, we met our friends Caroline and Mathieu for a walk and some play time at the playground in Agawam later that afternoon. We had missed our regular get together last week due to our trip to ME so it was great to see them! We had a gorgeous day for a walk and the boys actually didn't mind being in the stroller for once. The big draw on the walk were all of the dogs that were also out for walks. We trailed behind one for the najority of the walk which provided built in entertainment. I believe the walk was about 2 miles each way and half way through the walk was a great play structure. Chris, Aiden and Mathieu checked out the swings and LOVED people watching. Being as it is school vacation week, there was no shortage of playful kids to watch.

On Tuesday morning Chris, Aiden and I headed to Umass to visit our friends. We recently switched the boys into their "big boy" car seats which now face forward instead of backawards and the boys seemed to be adjusting well. They did good on the ride but my hope of morning naps happening in the car was just that, a "hope". We did look for several doggies and kitties out the windows as they really seem to get the idea of what a dog and cat are and as such are great at keeping their eyes peeled when prompted. We had a great visit once we arrived at Umass. The boys LOVED the busyness of the sites and sounds of an active campus. They were very curious about all of the buses and large trucks, vans and cars, pointing and saying "dat?" Once we made it inside, the boys had a large fan club that quickly gathered to greet and entertain them. They had a blast. Chris was very willing to socialize and explore but Aiden was my siamese twin and chose to stay attached to my hip for the majority of the visit. It was SO nice to see everyone and although the visit was brief it is always nice to catch up and stay in touch. We will be planning another visit for the near future!

Today we went on a new adventure in Somers to visit our friends Adam and Gina and to check out all of the amazing signs of spring popping up in their greenhouse. I'm not sure what was a bigger hit, their two dogs, the big tractors and equiptment, the sea of flowers or Adam and Gina. Aiden who is typically shy had quite a crush on Gina and was willing to go to her from the time we arrived. What a compliment to Gina! Kessy and Sampson their two dogs that weigh more than both Adam and Gina were so loving towards the boys and showered them with lots of kisses. The boys were in heaven as they love animals. We went for a walk through the greenhouses which was enough to put the boys to sleep in their stroller 3 minutes after leaving! Adam and Gina recently purchased a new house so we also went for a "drive by" to admire their soon to be new place! We had a great afternoon and the boys came home and slept for an hour and a half! What a day :) I think farm style fresh air can't be beat when it comes to babies!

Off for more fun tomorrow with Juliet and Kameron Locke and Grammie & Dziadz Pt while Daddy's enjoys a Sox game after work. Go SOX!!!

Great to see you Tuesday, but sorry I couldn't socialize longer! The boys, of course, are amazing and adorable. And the toilet adventure...that is, as you said, just the beginning! You may have missed that picture, but there will be plenty more opportunities. --Amy P.

Amy, great to see you too! We will be back to visit again soon. The toilet is now an obsession... they sneak in and get the same look on their face that I do when I am sneaking too much candy or cookie dough or something. Those potty locks are looking better and better!
