Early morning snuggles with Daddy before he heads out for work. (Aiden (L) and Chris (R)).
What a brisk start to the morning recently. We are still enjoying our morning walks but we have begun to bundle up! The "Bundle Me's" for toddlers have been a lifesaver. Like most toddlers, the boys have minds of their own and their ideas often don't align with Momma's. In this case, their idea of a morning walk is going in the nude with no cloths, no shoes and no blankets. Now wouldn't that be the life! The Bundle Me's were a wonderful Xmas present we received last year from Uncle Dan and GG Mimi and are the perfect compromise. They are like fleece, all weather sleeping bag style covers that fit into the stroller and are amazing... a life saver in our case as they keep the boys warm without having to dress them like big blimps.
As you many notice in todays pictures, the boys got long overdue haircuts! They look like such little men now, I can't get over it! Combining their new haircuts with their expanding vocabulary and we are entering a whole new world. I am love, love, loving this stage. The boys are total entertainers and do everything in their power to make everyone around them laugh. Life is fun!
I have been keeping busy, sewing up a storm trying to turn out little men into little firemen for Halloween. I have one fireman coat down and one to go. Considering I didn't have a pattern and have never sewn a sleeve in my life, I am pleased and excited about how they are turning out. Now I just have to hope they fit since I was "eyeing it!"
Speaking of fires, we had our first fire in the fireplace last night. Oh the wonders of cool fall evenings! The boys were cute as we explained to them that what they saw was "fire" and was hot and something they can't touch. They then proceeded to make fire engine noises. I love the connections they are making at this age. And speaking of cool fall evenings, thanks to my friend Anne, I have officially started listening to Christmas music. Yeah... tis the season to start getting in the mood and getting excited! I have far too many Christmas CD's to listen to for only a month so I am going to begin to enjoy them now. As a result, Aiden and Chris learned about santa and can now point to him and on their own terms say "ho, ho, ho." Christmas, here we come!
