Today's weather defines perfection! What a stark contrast to last year's March of Dimes walk when it was 40 and rainy! The turn out was great and people had such amazing stories to share. The highlighted family this year truly was remarkable with a little girl who will be turning one next week and has undergone over 6 brain surgeries. Unimagionable....Born 11 weeks early due to pre-eclampsia, this little one has been in and out of the hospital for her entire first year of life. THIS is why we are walking. So little girls like Taylor can be around to celebrate their first birthday. So little girls like Taylor are given a chance at life. What a blessing she is! She was released from the hospital yesterday and came to join in the efforts today - what a true little hero! So... on behalf of our family and families like Taylor's, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your thoughts, prayers and generosity. We were blown away by your support and were honored to present over $400 to this organization! If anyone is interested in walking with us in the future, please let us know. It truly is such a great cause.
We returned from our walk early afternoon and played outside. What's not to enjoy on a sunny, gorgeous 70 degree day? Happy May by the way! We are heading to Great Grammie Tag's a bit later today then over to Mamie & Grandpa Hopkins to give Mamie her birthday present that we forgot at home yesterday! We're then circling back to Suffield to enjoy dinner with some new friends from town who started going to the same church as us. So... it will be a fun, filled super day with lots of good company! Thank goodness the abundance of April showers brought such beautiful flowers and sunny days. Yee haaw for sunshine in May!
