It has been an exciting week with lots of time spent visiting with family and that’s what it’s all about! On Monday we had the Hopkins and Tagliavini’s over our house to visit. The boys loved having their “friends” here as they called them and wanted to have them back as soon as they left. For as much as I love Christmas, we had to take our tree down as our stand had a leak and the tree couldn’t be watered so its life was lacking. I have to admit that I do not miss the pine needle pick up and I was also ready to get my house back in order. We did some work on our basement and had the electrician over to move us on to the next step. We are getting very excited and have been working away all week with lots more work in our near future.
Tuesday I headed into work for a bit and cut out early to spend some time with Uncle Danny before he flew back to sunny FL. While at work, A & C had a fun lunch out at Red Robin with Mamie, Auntie Sarah and Auntie Stephie. Grammie and Dziadzu came over after they got out of work and we enjoyed one last dinner together before Uncle Danny had to leave. We are still working on trying to get him to move back home. So far he’s agreed to meet us half way….
Today we were so thankful to have Mr. Keith’s help in the basement and the boys really took liking to him. I think Chris told him at least 5 times “I really like you.” I don’t know that I’ve ever heard that! We packed up and headed to Grammie and Dziadzu’s to visit with the Goulet families for Christmas and to celebrate Stephanie and the arrival of my new little cousin Max who should be joining the world in about a month! We are excited to have a baby around and had fun showering Steph with fun baby goodies! Aside from the company today, we had a little furnace fun and were so thankful we were home when the house started to suddenly smell with the furnace catching fire shortly after. Never a dull moment and always so much to be thankful for. Our heat is on again, furnace is working and we have yet to figure out the point of having your furnace cleaned when you experience something like this only 6 weeks later!
