School days.

For the first time in over 13 years I have re-entered the world of back to school jitters and thrills. This time not on my own account. Our “back to school” shopping has officially begun as we made the decision that Aiden and Chris will be going to Annie Fisher Montessori in Hartford this fall.  We are thrilled, nervous and excited.  It will be an amazing opportunity. They are beside themselves, telling everyone that they are going to high school.  I have yet to decide whether the dress code at Annie Fisher will suite us well.  Fashion is a daily argument so our morning could get interesting.  I have been on the hunt for long and short sleeve navy polos, khakis, and backpacks.  You would think it should be easy, right?  My biggest challenge is that uniforms start at size 4.  We are lucky to be in a size 2/3.  I have several orders being shipped with the hope that something will fit.  And back packs… who knew there were so many choices!  Online shopping is bittersweet.  It can be quick and easy but if you’re like me, you want to the the perfect pack.  My dilemma is that perfect is defined differently by my 3 year olds and myself.  They found some amazing Disney Cars backpacks at Target.  Okay, so they’re not my style but the real kicker is that they smell like burnt rubber.  I’m not sure anyone around them would appreciate us! We brought them home but the hunt continues.  So glad I started the process now and not in 3 weeks.  If you’re reading this and haven’t started your back to school shopping, don’t wait…. things are selling quickly!

We have been so thankful that the rain has stayed clear for most of the start of the week.  The boys were thrilled to see Mamie and head to Southwick on Monday while Mike and I were at work.  As an added bonus Auntie Sarah and the girls were there for a visit as well.  What lucky tikes!

The boys had Dziadzu days on Tuesday and Wednesday and the countdown has begun until school begins and we no longer travel to Belchertown.  They enjoyed a lunch date with Dziadz and a trip to the library.

Check out these big boys!  What amazing little men they are…. may they always be so curious, imaginative, sweet and full of vigor!
