What an amazing fall weekend. After a rainy, dreary Friday the warm and sunny Saturday and Sunday were much welcomed! Mike went to the Cape early Friday for the weekend with the guys in his family. He has a blast and was also thrilled to have the sun on his side. We enjoyed a harvest festival in Suffield Saturday morning and plowed through our chores before packing up and heading to Grammie and Dziadzu’s.
Aiden and Chris was super excited. I was thrilled to have plans and company. Grammie and Dziadzu were great sports and Mike enjoyed a well deserved weekend away. It was a win, win.
We played in the woods. We explored new paths. We found old railroad treasures. We enjoyed being together and that means the world!
This week past we were thrilled to get out for a hike with our friends Steph, Ashley and Julia. The kiddos were troopers. In what felt like 30 min, turned into an hour and 45 min hike. The fall foliage was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for better company and better conversation. I was hopeful the kiddos enjoyed it as much as we did (as bedtime was a BREEZE!) but they quickly informed me that the trail was way too long (although they were our trail blazers, keeping us going…) Fingers crossed for more days like that!
