49 Degrees on a Mid-January New England day…. I’ll take it!  I hope that I’m not jinxing myself but this mild winter has been right up my alley!  I love that the sidewalks aren’t lined feet deep with snow.  We get a pretty little dusting and within a week it’s melted away.  Sure it’s windy and crisp but we choose to live in Connecticut.  {Please don’t remind me of this after our next big snow whammie!}

We’ve had a great weekend.  Mike was busy working and the boys and I occupied ourselves doing some chores and never ending cleaning.  We had a quick visit from our friends the Schillings and the boys were more then excited to see them.  We were also thrilled to head to Easthampton yesterday to visit with our friends, the Lockes.  Aiden and Chris always enjoy seeing their kiddos and you don’t have to twist mine or Mike’s arm either as we’re so thankful to have friends whose lives mirror ours.

This morning we headed out to church then enjoyed a visit from Mamie and Grandpa and some football fun.  The boys sure do love all of the snuggles and attention they get.  They even got their favorite doggies “dressed up and looking their best” for the visit. We all enjoyed catching up and relaxing!

I am beyond excited to have our first family fun day of nothing… yes, nothing tomorrow.  Mike has the day OFF…. Off from everything…A & C have the day off from school and I plan to have a stay in my PJ’s kind of day.  I can not wait!!!!  Happy football and Happy Martin Luther King Day everyone!
