A new year… new resolutions… new goals… and fresh new starts! What could be better than that {other than a tropic vacation on a bitter cold week!}? Our New Years was relaxing and quiet. We were home with two sick little men. Six doctors appointments for our family in less than a week. Could be a new record! All plans put aside, early bed times and lots of TLC. A cozy day of PJ’s, hot chocolate, legos and of course I snuck in some cleaning and organizing. Despite being sad that we had to cancel our plans, I am hopeful that the new year will bring all things great…. including better luck in the health department. Tis the season. Perhaps this is what public school germs are all about?
Monday was my appointment with little man. Week 24 woo hoo! I’m feeling great, getting big quick and so happy to hear that there aren’t any signs of early preeclampsia. Maybe I’ll grab a break or two this time! You certainly won’t hear me complaining. I scheduled my next appointment for the end of the month. We’ll have an ultrasound to determine if the placenta previa is still a concern and of course we’ll get a little peak at Little Mister.
Our Christmas decorations are officially down. I would like to say that they are put away but the truth is that they are still sitting in bins in our hallway waiting for Mr. Mike to lug them to the basement. It’s among his least favorite jobs which means it could be a while :) While I LOVE Christmas, I was ready to move on to planning the nursery and birthday #4 for my big boys {big debate between a fishing theme, monster trucks, dogs and tractors…. this could be a challenge for this Momma!}. We are so lucky to have Dziadzu coming over tomorrow to start the painting process for the nursery. I am beyond thrilled as I have wanted to paint this room for probably 5 years now. Don’t you wish you had a Dziadzu like ours?!? I’ll post some pictures as the room starts to take shape. Right now it’s a jumbled mess with everything pushed and piled in the center. Certainly not picture worthy!
Aiden and Chris have been going to bed GREAT these last few nights. Maybe illness has its perks?!? On the downside, we have also had visitors at all hours of the night on a consistent basis. While I’m less than pleased {and probably less than pleasant after visit 3,4,5…} I think they’re breaking us in for April. They’ve started antibiotics this week for massive ear infections so I’m hopeful we’re on the mend and on our way to BIG boy sleep schedules!
Here’s to 2013 and all of the wonder if has in store!
Here’s a snap shot of our brisk New Years walk.
