The weigh in

We love to affectionately call Jacob “Tank.”  He eats more than any baby I’ve seen.  There isn’t anything that we’ve come across that he’s not willing to try.  He’s in our “clean plate club” nightly.  This boy loves his food but his nickname is now up for reconsideration.  This week we went for his one year check up.  One year, jeepers.  Staying true to his jeans, we’re now considering the nickname pipsqueak. Weighing 17 pounds, 10 ounces, he’s in the 4th%.  He’s got a dreamy metabolism and he’s tracking right along his own curve.  Surprisingly, the pediatrician gave us two thumbs up and said she has come to know that we can’t expect giants in our family.  At 29 inches long (17%) he is finally growing into that big old noggin that he was born with (head is in the 86%).  He was a champ about getting his shots and we will be heading back to have some routine blood work done shortly.  Oh how time flies.

This little boy may be tiny but he’s a willful, fun loving, little ball of energy. His love is so genuine and his heart so warm.

We love our Jake, all 17 pounds of him!
