Tomorrow our big boys start kindergarten. This day seemed decades away but appears to have arrived in only a few brief moments. I’m not sure who’s more nervous, them or me. Although the today didn’t go as planned, we laid low, worked on a tree fort, enjoyed a family walk, and Uncle Danny and I surprised the kids with a visit to Chucky Cheese {dreamy, isn’t it?!? Just hoping to be sick by the end of the first week of school} while Mike participated in {another} football draft.
We wrapped up our last day of summer enjoying tie die cake {at their request}, a party cheese pizza, a special book Yay, You! from their biggest fan, Jacob and the opening of some very special envelopes that they received from their teachers at the meet and greet last week with special instructions to save until bedtime Monday night with no peaking…..
The envelope was the sweetest day to end the summer with a cute rhyme from their teachers and “magic confetti” to sprinkle under their pillow tonight to help them sleep through the night and be prepared for their first day tomorrow. Isn’t that special ?!?
Tonight I plan for very little sleep {maybe I should consider borrowing some of their magic confetti!} and tomorrow I will be camera happy as we wake with two big kindergarteners. Here’s to a wonderful 2014-2015.
