Our house… the forever work in progress and the pictures and updates I have been promising.
Our kitchen {still currently in remission and totally ripped apart} had twelve attempts at counter resurfacing before I admitted defeat and we cut our losses. I was beside myself but am anxiously awaiting the new granite that will be installed Friday! The cabinets were sanded and I painted them a creamy white. Mike inset the door hinges and we changed out light fixtures and put on new handles and knobs. We have a gorgeous new white sink and a fancy new faucet to complete the look. Pictures to come.
Our “master”bath was recently re-painted and the vanity refinished. This past week I re—grouted to freshen the room and also resurfaced the shower, a MAJOR room brightener as the old golden tiles were aged and gloomy. We now have a nice, soft, neutral feel.
Please excuse the mess as our office has been Christmas central for the past few months as we began to “hide” things away, leaving little room for working and little room to feel organized. Despite that, the office has a new “focus” wall with a subtle gray stripe. I am in love and wish I did it sooner. Sometimes it’s the small things that make you happy. Now to find a few old glass barristers, a better rug for the room and acompleted desk (Mike and I built this desk but it is without one drawer for several years now!) and I would be one happy camper!
I had always dreamed of doing something “fun” on the cellar stairs and after several attempts using different techniques, I arrived at this.
