A first for my second

Being the second born twin has it’s advantages and disadvantages.  He’s always been just a tiny bit tinier in every way.  The shoes and clothes fit just a tiny bit longer and all of the baby and toddler milestones always seemed to happen just a tiny bit later.  That’s our Chris.  Strong willed and mighty but always second.

Yesterday was his day.  He was the first to lose a tooth. The first tooth lost in the Hopkins household.  And at school no less;  The school nurse gave him a special blue plastic treasure chest box to keep it safe.  He was as proud as can be when I picked him up from school.  The early evening was spent dreaming and taking polls as to what everyone thought the tooth fairy would bring.

Lucky for him, he went right to bed {late because we had been in Belchertown celebrating Dziadzu’s birthday!} because he woke up at 10:30 and the fairy has already made her visit!

Rumor has it, the fairy was very busy on YouTube.com watching tutorials on how to make a box from a dollar bill and finished and delivered the goodies just in the nick of time.

And this lucky guy received a special personalized note and tooth receipt as well as a two-dollar bill, a dollar bill box (that was quickly dismantled and set in his wallet before anyone got to see the tooth fairy hard work and efforts…..) a gold dollar coin and a Susan B Anthony half dollar.  The fairy noted that the first tooth lost deserves something special to remember the occurrence.  Special indeed!

The best part, Chris will never forget his first lost tooth as it happened to fall on Dziadzu’s birthday!  What a treat!

And…. A Very Happy Birthday to you, Dziadzu.  Thank you for letting us celebrate with you!  oxo
