Chris loving the freedom in his johnny jumper. On hot days, these are great because they keep them nice and cool!
Aiden multi-tasking as he bounces and eats his cow at the same time.
Aiden with a look of innocence!
Daddy had fun playing dress up with Aiden!
Fair is fair... Whats done for one must be done for the other. Chris playing dress up!
Chris - Gotta love to drop of drool in the middle of his chin!
As I sit here, writing this blog, I could not be happier about how very blessed we are. Aiden is napping across from me and from time to time, a smile lights up his entire face. What could be better and we have not one ball of joy but two!
What a hot week! Our AC (one small unit in the livingroom) has been running full speed ahead for many days now. I am not complaining by anymeans as I love that it actually feels like summer but it has certainly made me rethink my plans for the day with the boys. We now try to take our walk first thing in the morning. Even leaving by 8:30, I still find myself drenched in sweat and having to take a second shower only an hour after the first! With the AC going, the boys are relatively unaffected by the heat but bring them out in the sun and they are quick to melt!
On Monday Dziadz Pt. came over and the boys, Dziadz and I went to visit my Babci in Bristol, Ct. We were pleasantly surprised to also be able to visit with Uncle Mike. What a treat! We had a great visit and the car ride was welcomed by all of us as it kept us out of the 97 degree heat of the day! Later that night, we packed up the boys and headed to Grammie and Dziadz Pt's for dinner. Mike was headed out that way for work so we tagged along and enjoyed our visit in Belchertown. We were also happy to visit with GG Mimi and our family friends Heidi and Jack. Since Grammie and Dziadz don't have AC the boys went for a dip in their little pool and really seemed to enjoy it. Poor Chris was tuckered out for the day and fell asleep in Dziadz's lap all bundled up and drying off in the towel. It was too cute because sleep is a rare occurance for Chris!
Tuesday Grammie Hopkins took on her usual full day of babysitting the boys while I worked. Things went great as they always do and the boys went to bed with ease which I take as a sign of a great day and lots of energy burned! I am guessing Grammie may have also felt the same way :)
I am a very routine person so this week has been a challenge for me. Suffield is repaving our normal walking route which throws us for a loop since those are the only sidewalks within walking distance. To my surprise, we took a different route of back streets and had a great time! There were so many new things to keep us, well okay me (since the boys were sleeping!) occupied. Of course it only took minutes before the sweat was dripping down my face even at 9 am but it was nice to check out a different part of the neighborhood.
Tonight we went to a Umass party at Anne's house. We had a great time despite some challenging periods with the boys. Thanks to all of the help of my friends at work, the boys remained content and were well loved! The food was delicious and the company was wonderful so who could ask for more?
The boys are still in love with food and thankfully for Aiden, he has found relief if you know what I mean! It is amazing what 4 days of prunes can do to such a small little tike :)The rest of our week continues to be busy so we have a lot to look forward to and are hoping for a break in this heat!
