Today we are SO thankful for all of the special grandparents and now great grandparents in our lives! Today may be a ploy for Hallmark but it is officially Grandparents Day, so Happy Grandparents Day and thank you to Grammie & Grandpa Hopkins, Grammie & Dziadz Pt, GG Mimi, Great Grammie Tag, Babci & Great Gramma Tess!
We had a great week and weekend, well with the exception of the rain on Friday. We have become very routine with the boys and have gotten into standard daily schedule. They are so used to going for a morning walk that days of rain throw us all off and make us all go stir crazy! Friday was one of those days. Since the rain wasn't going to let up, we decided to go for a drive instead which thankfully did the trick! Friday night I was able to get out with the girls to celebrate Heathers Birthday.... Happy Bday Heather! It was nice to have adult conversation and to catch up with everyone.
Saturday the boys went to their first fair. It was Suffield on the Green weekend so we bundled the boys up and walked through the displays in town. We had a lot of fun and the boys are total people watchers so it was a great time for them as well. We also visited with Grammie & Grandpa Hopkins, Great Grammie Tag, Auntie Sarah & Uncle Jerry. I am pretty sure that the boys favorite part of the visit was Sammie & Siera, the dogs! Great Grammie Tag is heading home to South Carolina tomorrow so it was great to be able to sneak in one last visit!
On Sunday we had a super productive day. We headed to church in the morning then Grammie Pt & Dziadz came over to watch the boys so that Mike and I could clean our garage and basement and YES it was THAT bad!!! We had water in our laundryroom (in the basement) about 2 months ago and had to quickly move everything out of that room. Since that incident we had not had the opportunity to re-organize and clean so its a great feeling to have our basement back in order. Thank you Grammie & Dziadz! The boys were on their best behavior and enjoyed their visit. While I was in the cleaning mood, I also started the long, dreaded semi-annual project of "swapping out the clothes." I am one of those girls that has totes of winter and summer clothes that are swapped out as appropriate. I guess I am admitting that it is getting cold and fall/winter are on their way. Yikes!
The boys are still on the go but not yet crawling... thank goodness! We started yogurt this week and it is a hit! Yogurt may be the boys favorite food yet! We are doing any whole milk yogurts and so far the boys have tried peach, banana & vanilla... banana being the winner!
Each day it seems that Aiden & Chris are taking more and more notice of one another. Aiden has taken a liking to wanting whatever Chris has even if he has the same thing. Chris is very into twisting in whatever direction needed to be able to chew/gnaw on Aiden so I guess it all works out in the end!
We look forward to another great week ahead!
