The boys help Daddy start up the grill for the summer season.

Aiden (L), Sophie & Chris (R) enjoy the sunshine and swings at Northwest Park.

Suzy, Ivory, Jenna, Mike & Chris are hot on the trail.

Pat, Aiden and April are good sports and stop for a photo op on our walk Saturday.

*** I do have one rainy picture from the end of our March of Dimes event this morning which I will post soon. It's on another camera!

I feel like a school aged child, sad that school vacation is over but I guess every week is vacation for me now that I am home with my favorite little men. Anyways, last week was a busy week but we had a blast. On Thursday our friends Juliet and Kameron Locke came for a visit. Kameron is about 2 months old and the boys were certainly curious and not sure what to make of the sounds that were coming from the newest addition. Kameron was laying in their play area and Juliet and I caught them both sneaking a peak from over the gate, not sure what to make of him. It strange to think that in just a few years they will all be running around playing together knowing that they are at such very different stages now. We had an awesome visit and I loved having adult conversation and company mid-day!

Thursday night Mike got VERY lucky and had the opportunity to sit in amazing seats at a Red Sox game with our cousins Bev and Lud and our friend Adam. Mike had a blast despite their loss and I enjoyed the evening as well as my parents came over for reinforcement in Mike's absence. Am I spoiled or what? They came to give me a "break" at night and the boys of course LOVED their visit and competed to show off.

Friday we had our usual meeting with our friends Caroline and Mathieu. It was a gorgeous afternoon and we enjoyed catching up and meeting one of Caroline's friends who also joined us. Friday night was a catch up night... time to do laundry, clean bathrooms and the list goes on and on...

We couldn't have asked for better weather on Saturday and as such we had to take advantage of being outdoors. Early Saturday morning I had committed to a volunteer project called the Angel Food Ministries. It is a very exciting opportunity that our church is trying to become a part of as it provides reduced cost food to families in need. Being as the economy is tough for many, I think it will be a great help to our community and I am excited to be a part of it.

On Saturday afternoon we met up with our friends, the Schillings. We went to check out a park that was new to us in Windsor, Ct and had a blast. Northwest Park had something for everyone. From farm animals and hiking trails to ponds, snacks, and a playground, we all enjoyed ourselves. Our boys were spoiled having three older, beautiful women attend to them all afternoon long. The boys were so exhausted they barely made it to their bedtime. As always, we truly enjoyed our visit with Suzy, Pat, Sophie, April & Jenna!

Today was the long awaited March of Dimes walk. Unfortunately the weather was a wash but the event was still a lot of fun. The turn out was great and they raised a huge amount of money. Mike and I were thrilled to report that we ended up raising $450 so THANK YOU everyone for your thoughts, prayers and support. It is truly an amazing cause and it was so neat to be a part of it. Next year we are putting in a request for some sunshine. I guess we forgot to ask for it, but we are newbies :)
