Dana, the beautiful new bride! Congrats!!!

The boys new "bunk beds." Who knew that simple black shelves could be so multi-purposed!

Mike & Chris, Beth & Aiden.. Our latest family photo

So first I have to admit that in my post last week I wrote Davie Crocker instead of Davy Crockett... What can I say, I went to school in Belchertown :) Can I blame it on the heat?

Anyways, we had a jam packed week and weekend. We had a ton of fun and were on the run. On Wednesday night, Grammie & Dziadz Pt. came over to watch Aiden and Chris while Mike and I went to a rehearsal dinner for my best friend from college, Dana and her fiance Nick. Both of their families are so much fun and it was so nice to have a night out mid-week. The food and company were awesome and the boys loved their time with Grammie and Dziadz.

Thursday night was Dana and Nick's amazing wedding! Dana made the most beautiful bride and the look of "new" love in both of their eyes was so awesome to witness. I was honored to be a bridesmaid and although the weather was cold and windy, the sun was shining but the ceremony was not held on the beach due to the wind. The ceremony and reception were at Anthony's Oceanview in New Haven, Ct. Grammie Hopkins came and picked up Aiden and Chris mid-morning on Thursday so that I was able to get myself ready and spend the afternoon with Dana and the other ladies in the wedding party. It is no surprise that we all enjoyed ourselves. The wedding was perfect and Dana looked gorgeous and I had not a worry in the world about Chris and Aiden as I knew that they were in great care and being spoiled like crazy. They spent the night at Grammie & Grandpa's and Mike and I enjoyed a quiet night in a hotel by OURSELVES! Aiden and Chris certainly enjoyed exploring all of the new hiding places, drawers and of course the dogs at Grammie & Grandpa Hopkins. They came home happy and tired which is always a good sign!

On Friday afternoon Chris and Aiden has their first occupational therapy session with Karly. She came to our house in the afternoon for an hour and had some great suggestions. We have several new tricks to try and she will be back again this Friday for another hour long appointment. Both boys really love her and interact and react to well to her so I feel very lucky to have her as a resource.

Friday night our friend Elissa had a surprise 30th birthday party at a country club in Bloomfield. Mike stayed home on "Daddy duty" and enjoyed a relaxing night and I had a great time catching up with many friends that I hadn't been able to visit with in a while. Elissa was certainly surprised so the party was a success!

Could the weather have been any more gorgeous this weekend? Saturday was my mother-in-law's birthday. Happy Birthday Carol!

Saturday morning I had a lot of fun celebrating the anticipated arrival of baby girl Ryan. Karen had an awesome shower with good food and good company. She looks adorable and received so many cute baby girl, pink, ruffly outfits. Can't beat that!

Saturday afternoon we spent some time at at Salmon Brook Park with our friends the Fishers and the Swansons. We wanted to sneak in one last get together before the arrival of Micha Fisher in three weeks and we were excited to meet Avery, the beautiful new addition to the Swanson family! We all had a great time and enjoyed the sunshine, snacks and one anothers company. It is always fun to see the kids growing up and starting to take an interest in one another. Chris and Aiden took quite a liking to Audrey Fishers pink baby doll stroller so we were lucky that she was willing to share :)

Saturday night we went to the Hopkins for a birthday dinner celebration for Carol. We also got to visit with Auntie Steph as she was in town for the night. The boys quickly made themselves comfortable and remembered all of their favorite places at Grammie & Grandpa Hopkins. Unfortunately for them, their bedtime approached quickly after our arrival but they loved the time they spent there and LOVE Grammie & Grandpa's dogs!

Today we again enjoyed such gorgeous weather! We headed off to church this morning and then went for a visit to see Great Grandma Babci in Bristol, CT with Grammie & Dziadz Pt. Aiden and Chris enjoyed circling around Babci's house with their walkers and shopping cart in tow and made her house into a race track as they picked up speed in no time. They had a great visit and it was so nice to see Babci again, even with no AC in the car ride there with Grammie & Dziadz!

Unfortunately it was back to reality and back to catching up on chore tonight... so I am off to finish up a few last things before bed..... Here's to another great week!
