So, no new photos and this video is done on my little handy dandy camera but I figured I would share something!
Thursday morning started off with a mini mommy panic attack as I realized that I was LOCKED OUT of the guest bedroom that my toddlers were locked in! Uggh.... Our guest bedroom has a very inviting "button" on the door that locks the door from the inside. I don't know that I have ever locked the door myself but it certainly got its use on Monday morning. After several unsuccessful attempts to coax the boys into wanting to open the door for Mommy, I found the closest screw driver and was able to successfully open the door. Phew! As you might imagine, our day continued with a fun game of run into the guest bedroom, slam the door, press the special "button" and wait for Mommy to save the day with her handy screw driver! Again, boys will be boys... So outside of our excitement on Monday morning we have had a pretty low key week. On Monday night Auntie Laura and Auntie Leeanne came over for dinner and some games after the boys went to bed. We had a great visit and there was certainly no moments of silence or times without laughter! Tuesday Grammie Hopkins came over in the morning and I headed out to get some groceries. The boys loved their Grammie time and I felt great having my shopping done for the week! Later in the afternoon, we headed to our friends, Megan and Calvin's for a play date! The boys raided Calvin's playroom and made themselves right at home in no time. The shyness lasted maybe 2 minutes. We all had a great time and it was so nice to get out of the house and mix up our routine a bit. After Mike got home from work, I headed over to our friends Adam and Gina's to help with some painting in their new house. They are hoping to move in this weekend and everything is looking great! Humidity, I did not miss you and wish that you would not return as it makes for such a sluggish day. We played inside for much of the morning but headed to the pool with our friends Caroline and Mathieu this afternoon. It is so nice to have company on these outtings and I SO appreciate adult conversation! It was also so refreshing to be sitting in the shade, next to a pool on such a hot summer day - Thank you Caroline and Mathieu!
