Would Dadda be smiling this big if he knew Chris was very busy on his phone???
Yes, this is a 21 month old Aiden using a air compressor to move his ball across the hallway floor. I give Mike all of the credit for that creative activity.
Piggy back races = two tired adults!
If Dadda came do it, Chris can do it, right?
The boys have had a case of the cranks this week so I decided to lay low and keep them home from playschool on Monday morning. Why share those pleasures with poor, innocent highschool students, right? I couldn't see our visit ending well and after having them away for the weekend, it was nice to relax and hang in. Monday afternoon was cool but not cold enough to keep us inside. We took advantage of a beautiful, cool afternoon at the park with our friends Mathieu and Caroline. With daylight savings, it gets dark so soon now so our visit was cut short but as we packed up and loaded into the car, Aiden looked up at the sky and pointed to the moon and said "moon!" Yeah... new words are on the way! Aiden and Chris are both working hard on saying ball and bus this week and Chris repeated me in saying "there" when he successfully pulled my zipper all of the way to the top of my sweatshirt. It's little, but big and exciting at the same time! Both Aiden and Chris have two word combo/phrases that they say that I have yet to figure out the meaning of, kind of like their word dizzit" for "What is it?" I am hoping to get the meanings mastered over the next few weeks as I know we will all be happier for it!
Monday night Auntie Laura made a long haul after work to come visit us for dinner! We had a great visit and loved catching up with her. Aiden and Chris had her play hide and seek until she ran out of new places to try. She was a great sport and so sweet to make the long drive after a long day at work. Thanks Auntie!
Our Grammie Hopkins visit was moved to Wednesday afternoon this week so we enjoyed her company today instead of yesterday. We also had a quick visit from Grandpa Hopkins before he headed to the airport for the night. The boys LOVE their company! They also loved emptying poor Grammies lunch box today and filled her cooler with their sneakers. They are always up to something!
Tuesday Aiden and Chris turned 21 months old! To beat the rainy weather yesterday afternoon, Dziadzu came over to keep us company. We packed up and headed to the Enfield Square Plaza to let A & C burn some energy at the indoor play area. The boys were surprisingly shy but loved all of the climbing options. We quickly burned an hour and a half playing there then we headed home for some dinner. I am always so lucky to have so many wonderful people to keep me company and sane!
