Christopher showing off his new winter boots. He liked them so much that he even wore them to nap!
Aiden decided to take a pretend nap in the diningroom. When I asked him what he was going to bring to nap today he said "Momma!" Melt my heart....

One happy passenger, Mathieu.
My "ahhh" moment came this week when the boys were playing alone. While in the kitchen, I heard "I love you" said between A & C. Could it be any sweeter than playing alone together and hearing them say those magical words? Not sure who the recipient or speaker was but I LOVED IT!
We have had a busy week... celebrating being back to good health! We had play school on Monday and again today. We also had a play date with our friends Caroline and Mathieu on Monday afternoon after naps. The boys had a blast and for the first time, really started to acknowledge one another. After work, our friend Leeanne came for a visit and was my right hand man in helping to assemble the gingerbread trains that I made for another visit later this week. Mike was working late so it was nice to have an extra set of hands and good company too. We also relaxed and watched a Christmas movie which is the ultimate for me.
Yesterday Grammie Hopkins came for a visit. She thought it would be fun, easier and possibly less confusing for the boys to call her Mammie so they know the difference between the two Grammies so we have been working on that. The boys had a great visit and enjoyed playing with Mammie.
This morning we had play school again and have very exciting news. For the second time this week, I was able to leave the boys there on their own! Woo hoo! I was so excited even though it took them a half hour to settle in, leaving me 20 minutes at home. I'll take it! Chris was having a hard time saying goodbye but didn't want to leave when the time finally came to go home. After naps we headed to our friend Calvin's for a play date with his mom Megan and the Tetrault's. We had so much fun and really enjoyed getting out. The boys managed to dig into every one of Calvin's toys within minutes! I of course loved the mommy date!
Tonight before bedtime, Mike and I took the boys on a grocery shopping adventure. We packed up and headed to Highland Park Market, the small grocery store in town. They have kiddy sized shopping carts so I had been anxious for the boys to be old enough to enjoy them and they were for sure. They had a blast. Aiden was the happy designated cart pusher while Christopher preferred to be carried but participated by loading the cart. He even did a great job putting in misc. items of his choice! Now if only he would actually eat the things he put in the cart. We were thinking about submitting some early job applications for our over achievers who would be thrilled to be personal shoppers, pushing carts for people all day.
I'll share a funny bedtime story from last night. For some reason bedtime did not go well. Maybe I should say for good reason. Mike and I did our usual bedtime routine with the boys and laid them down in the crib, walking out and shutting their bedroom door. Within seconds we had two very upset little boys. We didn't think much of it until we heard a sound that was as if the boys were trying to push open the french door on their bedroom. Could they really have freed themselves to the ground from their cribs already? Thankfully, no! They simply had a furry friend locked in their room... good old Cali, our cat! Never a dull moment. The cat was scared out of her mind and the boys were not happy to have her in their room!
