Sorry - my pics won't post. I have some good ones too but a good old "server error" isn't working in my favor. Stay turned for pics ASAP!!!
I admit it - I almost skipped tonight's post. I could not for the life sign into my account. I still haven't figure it out but after 2 reset passwords, here we are!
So the first snowy dusting finally arrived on Saturday morning. What a wonderful thing to wake up to! I think I was most excited to see the boys reaction so I met them in their cribs in the morning, opened the curtains and pointed outside saying "snow." Their response... "utt-ohhh, milk!" Such an innocent understanding.... someone would have been VERY busy to have spilled enough milk to cover our entire front yard. I LOVE those moments though!
On Thursday we went to playschool in the morning and Aiden had a blast. He was little Mr. Independent participating in all of the scheduled activities, including "ring around the rosie," story time, snack and my favorite - crafts where he made me an adorable noodle Christmas tree. Chris on the other hand was my third and fourth leg and was attached to my side. He was great but just very attached. I will look back on these moments in the future, longing for them again so I do remind myself to enjoy them none the less. After playschool Dziadz stopped by for a quick visit before nap. The boys would have been more than happy to stay up all day if it meant that they could play with Dziadzu!
Friday was a PJ day. We relaxed and did nothing and LOVED it! There is no doubt that I can only take these types of days in small doses, but I love having one every now and then. After a relaxing, comfy day we headed out for a night on the town with Aiden and Chris to enjoy the Christmas lights. A & C couldn't have been cuter as they took it all in, saying "light" and "wow!" followed by "more," "more," "more." Needless to say, they were into it and I have a good feeling that they may just be inheriting some of Mommy's Christmas spirit. Maybe I will have two other partners in crime to listen to xmas carols next year in October :)
Saturday night Mike and I had a night out as we got fancified and headed to Marlborough, CT for a holiday party at his bosses house. We had a late night but a great night! Grammie and Dziadzu kept down the fort at home and waited up for us until the wee hours of the morning. Mike and I knew we were getting old when we were "feeling it" this morning....
Tonight I had a wonderful night out with the two best mothers in the world, my mom and mother in law! I think we are all officially in the holiday spirit after enjoying a wonderful Christmas concert at the Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church. Thank you to the Mann's for inviting us and introducing us to such a wonderful holiday tradition. Seriously, great music and great fun... Christmas here we come!
We have some fun play dates and play school to look forward to in the week ahead. The words are still coming and "knife" and "egg nog" are the weekends newest additions. The boys have also grown magical Inspector Gadget arms and are able to reach pretty much anything ON the counter and can also open any baby lock... Really, so who are these locks for if my almost 22 month old curious twins have figured them out? Me??? I think I have more trouble getting into the cabinets than they do - it certainly won't be long until THEY are teaching ME new things!
