We are ready for a new week and a week with a few new twists! We are finally feeling healthy again and are SO excited to see our friends! It was a quiet, sick week at home. We all got hit and hit hard and couldn't seem to get out of the slump, but things are looking up and we are keeping our fingers crossed for warmer weather soon so we can get back outside. The boys chant "outside, outside, outside" from the time they wake up. It's great, except on 26 degree days at the end of March! What's this winter weather doing in Spring? It's certainly not welcome for long!
So our week in review. ……..Well that sums it up since we were stuck inside all week.
All joking aside, we did a few small things. I snuck out to get a second opinion at the endodontist on Wednesday and Mammie came over since we had postponed her Tuesday visit. I didn't get the news I was hoping to hear and will be moving forward with a hefty dental procedure and bill in small steps. Step one, extraction (uggh) and bone graft to be done within the coming month or two. Step two, save, save, save or win the lottery (the second option being so much more fun)! Step three, dental implant next year. Can you guess where our tax return for the next two years might be going? As Mike reminds me, you can put a price on your health. Man does he sound old saying that J
We cancelled all play dates but braved it on Saturday to go for the boys two year old photos take two. The first failed attempt was at Target and it was a waste of time and money. Lesson learned. I can truly say we were pleased with Portrait Innovations in Manchester. So pleased I spent way more than I had planned on but pictures are one of my weaknesses and an all-time favorite purchase. Mike took a trip to Boston this weekend to spend some time helping his sister Sarah and Jerry in their new place. We're excited to see him when he gets back tonight. We picked up Grammie and Dziadzu from the airport today. They enjoyed a small summer preview in Florida visiting Uncle Dan for a few days. A & C were THRILLED to see them and talked about it all morning long until the phone call finally came to pick them up. Oh how A & C love making Dziadzu and Grammie laugh. They pull out every stop!
I mentioned that this week will bring a few new twists. On Tuesday when Mammie comes, she will be coming for a full day of fun with A & C. I will be headed into Mike's office to learn some new things with the hope of helping him out. I will continue assisting with the case management but will be playing a large roll. Things are picking up for him which is great for our family so that is where I come into play. It will be a welcomed break and sense of accomplishment for me…. At least I hope! Thursday we will be having our friend Ashley stay with us for the day while her Mommy returns to work. We cannot wait! We are so excited to have her as A & C can't stop talking about baby Ashley every time we get together. We also have a few fun play dates and lots of catching up with friends to do. So… no more time for germs, or cold weather for that matter. … Here's to warmer weather and a great week ahead!
