What a weekend. Could the weather be any more perfect? We were thrilled to be outside soaking it up just in case!

Thursday we were thrilled to have baby Ashley with us for the day. I may sound like a broken record but she is such an easy going baby and a wonderful addition to our day. The boys and I loved having her and Mike stopped in for a bit and was thrilled to be the recipient of big smiles and giggles from such a little doll. We truly couldn't ask for a better fit and more lovable little girl to have around!

Thursday night I was out on the town. I know, watch out I can get kind of rowdy! All joking aside, it was a fun night, catching up over some delicious Panera's with Leora and Leeanne. There is nothing better than great conversation and awesome friends to soothe the soul.

Friday feels like forever ago but thinking back we had a nice day at home. The boys and I packed up and headed for a short walk. Being as I am getting old (VERY old) I am falling apart and hurt my foot earlier in the week so exercising and putting some weight on my foot felt like a big accomplishment. We headed to the local grocery store, Highland Park Market (HPM) to get a treat for Dziadzu. Poor Dziadz had surgery on his knee Friday morning so we wanted to surprise him with his favorite chocolate peanut butter treat from HPM. I lured the boys along by promising that they could pick out a cookie of their choice. If you have never been to HPM, you are missing out! They have an amazingly delicious glass display case just like a bakery with so many tempting desserts. Okay, so I should clarify It's not the display that's amazingly delicious, it's what's inside! Now that I've cleared up any confusion about the possibility of any weird cravings, I can move on. Aiden picked a chocolate cookie and Chris a blue sugar cookie and I was totally shocked when the baker gave them to A & C free of charge! Lucky, lucky boys! We headed home and packed up to visit Dziadzu and Grammie briefly before heading to see our friends Heather and Mike. The boys weren't too sure what to make of Dziadzu being "hurt" but were happy to see him none the less. When we arrived at our friend Heather and Mike's the boys made themselves right at home in their play room. In no time at all they laid claims on their favorite trucks, trains and animals and were so happy that baby Harper was willing to share! It was a brief visit but we were excited to see our friends and were the lucky recipients of an awesome set of furniture for our porch! Thank you Heather and Mike!

Saturday, hum really was Saturday only yesterday? I headed out early to get a few errands done in preparation for our birthday celebration for Mike today. The stores were surprisingly busy and I was happy to get out and get home. We literally spent the entire day outside and Mike started to assemble the boys new swing set from Grammie & Dziadzu. Mid-day we headed out to check out the town's Easter celebration. I was very impressed. They had the works: The bunny, egg hunt, treats, petting zoo, tattoos, face painting and outdoor swings. The boys liked the Easter Bunny as long as he was from a far and were thrilled to pet a real bunny, goat and donkey. We had a great time and were excited to see a few familiar faces.

Today Mike and I had nursery duty and A & C did great in the 2 year old room by themselves! We headed home and did some last minute party prep work before our families joined us for a small birthday celebration for Mike. Mike managed to start and finish the swing set and A & C couldn't have been happier. I in the meantime managed to cut off the tip of my finger slicing potatoes, got two slivers making kabobs and split a finger nail. Yes, I am special! Anyways, we were thrilled to have company and an awesome visit. Can we please have a repeat of this weekend?

Cheers to an amazing awesome day tomorrow according to Mr. Weatherman! Get outside and enjoy!
