High Five

They did think it was pretty funny when I asked them to kiss though! Not sure they will feel the same way in a few years....

We love staying busy so as usual we had a few fun things planned this week. On Monday, our friend Mathieu returned from his trip to Canada so we were thrilled to see him and very excited to meet up with him to play at the playground. The boys all loved playing outside and Mathieu's Mommy, Caroline and I were excited to have the kiddos burn some energy before heading home for lunch and naps. Aiden, Chris and Mathieu play so well together and it is fun to see them interact and joke around. I of course loved catching up with Caroline. It's a win, win! Mathieu has exciting news and is going to be a big brother! Yeah Mathieu, Caroline and Rob!

Monday night my friend Leeanne was a great sport and joined us for dinner and some time with A & C before we headed out for a full night of couch shopping. Boring, I know, but Leeanne was a super trooper! There were too many choices and not enough time and after a while, they all begin to look and feel the same. It was a productive trip through because for the first time, I found 4 couches that I liked! Of course the cost of a few might require that we sell a car, but they had some cute stuff. A & C loved teasing and flirting with Leeanne during dinner and were sad to see her go. I appreciated her help and advice and am excited to bring Mike back this weekend to check out what we found. Hopefully we will be making a purchase in the near future.

Tuesday I joined Mike at work while Mamie Hopkins kept down the fort at home. The boys had a blast and had many stories to tell. Mamie brought them for a walk and let them run the bases at the baseball field and they also got to see the water by the brook near our house. They were happy campers and loved Mamie's company. Mike and I both had productive days and were excited to get home to see the boys and enjoy some of the nice weather.

This morning we were excited to have Calvin and his Mommy, Megan over to play. The boys always carefully chose a newly rediscovered toy to show and share with Calvin. They all get along so well and it's so nice to have company to break up the day. We look forward to this play date every week! Baby Ashley is in Florida on vacation this week. We missed her and will miss having her tomorrow but we'll be looking forward to having her join us soon! Tonight Mike's new "baby" arrives. A flat screen TV. I could take it or leave it but it's been his dream so he's very excited. We hope to finish up the last minute details of our living room project and I'll get a picture posted soon!
