It was a freeze pop kind of day.....

Aiden - "I didn't eat that much... Did you eat some?"
Chris - "Life is good, even when my freeze pop is dripping like crazy!"

I would like to say that it has been a "quiet" week but Mike would disagree. Where do A & C get all of their energy? Seriously. I am beginning to wonder if we are going to start losing friends after they read about our little trouble makers and fear that they might "wear off" on their own little ones.

Anyways, Monday morning we met Caroline and Mathieu at the playground just after a bus had dumped hundreds of kids in the same location. The swarms of kids scared us off so we found a new location and let the kiddos burn some energy. After working up a sweat in about 5 minutes flat, we headed to their house for a quick dip in their pool. So refreshing and relaxing. When Mike arrived home from work, I headed out to run some errands before meeting my friends Leeanne and Leora for dinner. Nothing quiet like girl time but poor Mike had an aging experience when Chris choked on a pretzel. I felt awful not being there when it happened and while we were both so grateful that Chris ended up swallowing it hole, I think Mike aged a few years. We took the safety course and learned all of the "right" moves yet when panic sets in, somehow all of your learned skills seem to freeze. So, a scary but grateful occurrence that make each moment with your kids even more precious.

Mamie braved another hot day with A & C on Tuesday. They swam, played, ran, built and had a blast. Somehow Mamie always still manages to keep her smile on all day long although I can only imagine that she must be beat by the time Mike and I make it home. We had a great day at work and Dziadzu stopped over after his day was done to drop off a few things. Lucky, lucky boys getting to see two grandparents in one day!

This morning we were excited to have Calvin and Ashley to our house to play. It is always interesting to see how a two year old is suddenly interested in something they have never taken any interest in when someone else wants it. We have such great friends and are SO lucky to be going through this parenting experience together!

Tomorrow we look forward to a fun, HOT day with Ashley and on Friday we are taking a road trip to visit Auntie Laura! We can't wait... this is what summer is all about... friends, family and fun!
