Impromptu can be fun. Especially when it entails a last minute sleep over at Mamie and Grandpa’s house! Aiden and Chris are very into sleeping over people’s houses, especially after a day of fun. I was thrilled to hear Aiden’s little voices while at work yesterday, asking if he can sleep over Mamie & Grandpa’s. My initial reaction was “sure we can plan that for some day coming up” but Mamie in the background said she was on board with the idea and had agreed to have them over. How can you say no to that? Mike and I snuck home after work to meet Mamie and the boys are they headed back home to grab their overnight necessities. A hug, kiss and their favorite stuffed animals and off they went. My little boys are growing up and I couldn’t be more thrilled watching everyone else enjoy them as much as we do. From what I hear it was a great night and by 7 am they had Grandpa taking orders for pancakes and syrup. Mike in the meantime enjoyed a movie and some quiet time at home while I snuck out for a ladies night. A true treat for all of us!
Monday we were excited to have a play date at the East Granby Library with Ashley. They boys love the library and adore Ashley and Steph’s company. We snuck into a story/song time there which was a fun change of pace and stayed a while visiting and playing. We also took home an arm load of borrowed books with which we spent much of the afternoon reading and re-reading. So far A & C are taking after Mike and could happily sit and read ALL day long. I on the other hand like to stick with magazine but do make an exception to read to A & C endlessly because it is one of the few remaining snuggly times I have with them.
Work has been good this week and we are headed to Belchertown shortly for an afternoon with Dziadzu and some quiet work time for me. It is amazing how quickly the moments, days and weeks pass by. Happy Wednesday everyone! No pictures, I have been slacking….
