Hide n Seek

I love hide and seek with three year olds.  Why?  Because it goes a little something like this…

Chris: “Hey Mom, come find me” (And yes, they are already calling me Mom instead of Mommy)

Me: “Okay Bud” and I pretend to look all over the house, calling their name saying “I wonder where he could be….”

Chris: “Mom, I’m over here in the guest bedroom.”

Me: I enter the room and pretend to look around

Chris: "Mom, I’m right here at the end of the bed.”

Oh, what a game…..

Take Two: Repeat above, inserting Aiden for Chris, word for word.

Simple pleasures.  Easy entertainment!

Tonight as I was brushing the boys teeth with them, Chris started to tell me about how he and Aiden had snuck chocolate and vanilla covered pretzels when I wasn’t looking (too bad these little yummies are kept up on a top shelf, unreachable to little hands). He proceeded to tell me how they ate them behind the gray pillow (we don’t own any gray pillows) and they snuck lots and lot.  Aiden chirped in “Yeah Mom, we’re little scoundrels!” Oh how I love the stories they tell.  Yesterday Aiden was telling me about how he was at a store with Dziadzu where they had “blue cupcake shoes with blueberry frosting.”  Maybe I should be considering adding some shoes like that to my birthday wish list! The boys also told Grammie that their day with Mamie was spent “farting all day and eating cupcakes in every room.”  They are creative and I think they tell their stories so well that they begin to believe they are truthful themselves.  I am smelling trouble in the months to come….

This has been a busy week.  Lots of dental appointments, Dr.s appointments, errands, work and late nights for Daddy and visiting with friends.  So for tonight I’ll keep it simple.  We’ve been good.  We’ve been keeping out of trouble. We’ve been busy and there are many more busy nights to come!

This week we wish Auntie Sarah a very happy 30th Birthday!  What a week for her, celebrating the big 3-0 and her first Mother’s Day! Wishing her and all of the lucky women called Mom’s a very wonderful Mothers Day Weekend!

Pictures to come as soon as the boys decide to let me sneak some shots….

PS – In the meantime check out the June Issue of Woman’s Day.  I’ll see if I can share the article in an upcoming post.
