What a washout but what a weekend. We had big plans for our weekend but didn’t let a little rain get in our way. We are craving some sunshine and the forecast for far too many days ahead doesn’t look promising. While the rain may not be good for our moods, Chris reminded me yesterday, the rain is good for our blueberries. So thankful for these happy reminders every once in a while.
Saturday we had a blast at a birthday celebration at the Schapiro’s house. We had big plans for a day filled with swimming but settled for swimming in between the down pours while compensating with good conversation and good food.
Today we headed to church then off to Amherst after lunch for a super fun play date with the Schillings. We snuck out in between the rain and indoor playing to check out their neighborhood pond and managed to get a dose of sunshine! The kiddos loved playing and had a blast swimming, catching frogs and hiding from snakes. It’s always nice to catch up with old friends and the boys adore the older girls.
I have been taking advantage of this rain to get organized. I can’t say that I feel like I have made a huge dent in my to-do’s but it’s a start and I’ll take it. I have big visions of being super organized and just need to chip away at it little by little. Today was a start!
Here’s to a rainy but productive week with lots of time for friends built in between!
