Little man

Poor little man.  Easily forgotten because he’s quiet.  I completely forgot to share my 20 week appointment update last week. He’s a mover, a shaker and a grower!  He has been swimming marathon laps nightly and is determined to be a night owl.  The appointment went great.  I got to meet Dr. Thompson for the first time and she is a total sweetheart.  A young, spunky professional who in meeting the first time, I felt like we had been friends for years.  She’s a total keeper!  Things are progressing well.  The readings from the recent blood work, ultrasound, etc all came back well. They are watching me for placenta previa as my placenta is low but on a more positive note, it means that we get to see the little man again for a 28 week ultrasound.  I am hopeful that it will correct itself and excited to see him again!

Despite testy behaviors, we are trying to make the most of it.  We’ve been laying low quite a bit but so far no one is complaining.  I am a happy camper as I get to stay in sweatpants all day which is down right dreamy for any pregnant woman.  I could however do without the 50 daily timeouts :)

Saturday was a fun day.  We headed out early afternoon to meet Grammie and Dziadzu at the Holyoke Carousel.  Santa made a guest appearance and it was fun to have something special and festive to do on a rainy day.  Aiden and Chris were in their glory and while they weren’t too sure about getting close to Santa, they took it all in and enjoyed themselves.

I enjoyed a fun evening out with my lovely lady friends to celebrate the holidays this weekend.  There’s nothing better than catching up with old friends over a delicious dinner and I just love my ladies.  If only we could make it a monthly gathering.

Today after church we ventured out to find out family tree.  It’s far from perfect but with the three men in my life getting rather impatient, we made a quick decision and have a cute little well loved tree.  {photos to come}  We headed out tonight for our get together with our small group and are really enjoying our marriage study.  Sometimes its fun to make time for things that we take so for granted in our lives.

Have a good start to the week everyone!
