I never imagined that added one 7 pound little munchkin into the mix could make our days and nights fly by so quickly. Tomorrow Jacob will be 3 weeks old. I am in serious disbelief myself but I must admit that he feels like he has been a part of our family for months…. and that’s a good thing!
We’ve had some special events these past few weeks, all of which I have neglected to share, so my apologies. My dear friend Heather came over and did an amazing job capturing some special new born moments for Jacob. Leeanne was a great sport and her right hand man as we tried to get situated. I adore the pictures and am so very grateful to have such amazing friends. Here is a little preview of some of my favorites but feel free to check out Heather and her amazing portfolio: http://turkeyhillphotography.zenfolio.com/p975922587 She truly is incredibly patient, amazing and talented!
We were also thrilled and so very excited that Mamie celebrated a landmark birthday… and it was celebrated in style with a special surprise party! Unfortunately for as very excited as we all were, only Mike and Aiden made it to celebrate as the rest of us were down and out with the flu, day 1 for Jake and I and day 3 for poor Chris. It was a day of cartoons and ginger ale for the 3 of us at home, wishing were were in Southwick with the gang. Mike and Aiden had a blast and came back sharing all kinds of special stories. Chris is hoping that Mamie will have another birthday soon :) Happy, happy birthday to the world’s best Mamie! We love you!
We were so excited that Uncle Danny arrived in town last Tuesday. As always, the visitor was far too short lived and we wish that we could unpack his suitcases and convince him to stay…. forever! Aiden and Chris took no “warming up” and had BIG plans for their time with Uncle Danny. They always love having a fun, willing, energized playmate and Uncle Dan was all that and more! We were also thrilled to get to see GG Mimi, Grammie, Dziadzu and Auntie Laura not just once but a few times these past few weeks. Always such a nice treat and of course, we would like to move all of them next door too!
And if you’re wondering why I haven’t been keeping up with blogging…. well, so am I! The biggest adjustment to life with 3 has been finding a way to get it all done while still managing to sneak in 5-6 hours of sleep a night. I guess being new to nursing I am now at Jacob’s beckoning call which is a new experience. . Bedtime for the big boys is at 7 but likely gets dragged out until 8. I’m finding that I have between 30 min and an hour before Jake’s last nightly feeding and around 10 I call it a night. I started back to work helping Mike again two weeks ago and am trying to work that into my week as well. I am learning as I go! Needless to, my free time is none existent and my house is a mess so please don’t think less of me if you happen to stop over!
Here are our little men that we adore oh so much….
