5.5 and 16 months

This is Jake.  Jake loves corn, pickles and saying the word food.  And this grin, it’s who he is and it lights up our world.

A bit delayed, we went for Jacob’s 15 month check up 2 weeks ago.  My blog post started and walked away from too many times to count.  So here I am, better late than never at 16 1/2 months old!

I attempted a visit with the three kids… alone.  To say it was a disaster doesn’t seem strong enough.  I’m certain it will be a while before I am that brave again.  While shots for little ones are never easy, they seemed especially hard this time.  One in each arm and one in his thigh.  It’s safe to say I worked up a sweat wrestling my poor little buddy.   He looked up at me with that look.  It broke my heart and I am so thankful we’ve got 3 months to recover.  I think we BOTH need it!

Aside from the vaccine drama, Jake is doing great.  He is still a peanut but growing just fine, moving on up to the 12th% at 20 pounds and 4 ounces.  He’s in the 23% for height at 30.75 inches and is still a leader of the pack with head circumference in the 91st%.  It appears we have brainy midget perhaps?

And these two big boys… They turned five and a half.  So big, so strong, so smart and so unaware of how loved they are.

And for the record, I’ve snapped proof that girls are not the only ones bringing on drama… The wail for equity!

And this little man, its safe to say that he’s crazy for his Daddy
