It was a weekend filled with celebrations, family and adult only time. It was a brief time of being just Beth and not Momma. We danced, we drank, we laughed, we ate well and all the while Dziadzu held down the fort. The first to watch all three boys solo {Grammie was on babysitting duties for baby/cousin Andrew as it was a weekend of weddings}, Dziadzu rocked it! The older boys labeled it “one of the best days ever.” Mike and I are forever indebted and oh so grateful. I’d like to say rested and refreshed but truth be told, it’s been way too long since I’ve consumed not one but two glasses of champagne and way too long since we’ve been out that late. Yesterday we celebrated Chuck and Lindsay, Mike’s cousin and new bride. A beautiful wedding and night to remembered and today we took advantage of spending more time with family that was in from out of state. It’s these sort of weekends that can’t be beat. All homework and studying put aside for a day or two and all worries forgotten for a moment or two. Thank you Dad for allowing us this opportunity!
I should also note that Aiden and Chris rocked it at the rainy soccer game Saturday morning. The game was adorable to watch.. hoping to sneak some pictures soon but in the meantime can you tell that we’re in our glory over here with leaves here there and everywhere?!?
And as a side note… Are these not the cutest little NB Grover sneakers ever {Gifted to Aiden and Chris from Auntie Stephie and willingly worn by little Mr. Jake}?
PS – Happy anniversary to Laura and Eric! It was one year ago today that my big sister became a Mrs. After far too many rehearsals of my MOH song/speech, to this day, I can still recite it word for word. And here they are, one year later, one year more in love and with one more little love in their life who turns 8 weeks old today! Congrats you two love birds!
