Saturday we celebrated two special boys about to turn six. Six. Nearly halfway to their teenage years. Can you tell this Momma is feeling old?!? A birthday wouldn’t be a birthday without some snow each and every year without fail for Aiden and Chris. Like clock work, the weather report changes before our eyes as we watch the flakes fall outside the window but ya know what, I wouldn’t change it for the world. What’s better than being cozy inside a warm house with good food, merriment and those you love? Snow on party day has grown to be an expected tradition and in light of the frigid air, we are wishing ahead spring with an “O’fishally six” themed party. Aiden and Chris adore fishing. Aiden has the patience to stay for hours and Chris has the interest when the going is hot. They count down the months until spring will arrive and share their fish tales and hopes to someday catch the “big kahoona.” So yesterday we ate, we visited and we celebrated and we have two very happy, very well loved boys. We thank those who braved the weather and shared the day with us! Life is good indeed! oxo
