With our closing being postponed last minute, we found ourselves with an open weekend as we had cleared our calendar in anticipation of moving. If we’re being honest, its been a long few weeks with bitter cold temps and negative wind chills. Ten minutes outside and you’re chilled to the bone. 80% of our house is packed and the kids are moaning about all of their toys being among the things packed. When you get another 6+ inches of snow over night to add to the remaining 24 inches and never ending cold, the day ahead may seem long and cold…. that it until you look at the temperatures and see that it’s in the 30’s. HIGH 30’s!!!!!
What a treat! As silly as it sounds, 38 degrees felt like 70 today, I kid you not. The kids asked to take their coats off {and the good mommy, bad cop in me said NO!}. We took our time clearing the driveway and yard {perhaps I should clarify and say Mike took his time…. I am still out of commission for these duties with my hand taking FOREVER to heal!}. We sledded, we explored, we walked and the big boys snow shoed. It was every bit as amazing as it sounds. And at 7 pm, the house is quiet and the kids are ALL asleep. Double the pleasure! I’m off to craft… oh what a treat!
Cheers to warmer weather on the horizon, more melting snow and the anticipation of a new house in the coming weeks! Happy end of February!

I was wondering how the move was progressing. Hopefully things start moving now. What a relief when it's finally all over.
