We finally received approval for our closing extension and the sellers bank has finally agreed to pay the cost to repair the furnace (for a second time). It’s a few steps in the right direction with many more to go. With so many parties involved in the process things seem to drag on and on. It took nearly two weeks to receive these approvals and with a day over two weeks until our THIRD scheduled closing I am anxious but hopeful that they might work diligently to fix the furnace in a reasonable time (the first incident took 3 weeks!) Our decision to move and the setbacks we’ve faced have certainly been the ultimate challenge of my patience and I look forward to the day ahead when we sit back, enjoying our new space, recounting the days, hours and weeks of waiting to be in that moment.
Jake started another round of playschool through Suffield High this week. While it was a rough start (he’s attached to my hip), it’s nice to get out and important to keep him socialized.
Aiden and Chris had a blast at Bradley Bowl last Saturday with the entire kindergarten class for the Spaulding School traditions night out. They were adorable and so pleased to be surrounded with their classmates.
Mike has been enjoying his down time until he’s put to work with the move and settling into our new space.
I’ve been continuing to pack bits and pieces and have been doing some work from home, day dreaming of where I will house things in our new arrangement. I’ve had a blast creating artwork and making a wish list of things to save for. I’m a dreamer and so excited to be moving forward!
