Our home is filled with giggles and goofing around, teaching and taunting and overlapping none stop requests for Mommy’s attention. Truth be told, I couldn’t imagine it any other way.
We’ve got so much to catch up on. In my extended absence you may have guessed it but we FINALLY moved! We started the journey {a mere 3/4 of a mile down the road} two weeks ago. We are still living out of boxes and bags, scavenging for items as needs arise and slowly settling into our new spaces. Rooms need to be painted, trim needs to be touched up and the entire place was in need of some loving and a darn good cleaning. Despite the fact that I have yet to make it to the bottom of any of my to-do lists, we’ve been productive and we’re slowly starting to feel at home in our new space. It will be a long process I am sure but as the walls start to transform, pictures are hung and we’re getting cozy.
As for the family….. Aiden and Chris just returned home from a week long dream vacation. They ventured to Tampa and Orlando Florida with Grammie and Dziadzu and spent the time there with Uncle Danny. Words can’t even describe the joyous time they had. The stories, smiles, giggles and experiences have created forever memories. They squeezed about a months worth of activities into one week…One week…. Their list of daily activities made me tired just listening. They came home exhausted but missing Florida, Grammie, Dziadzu and Uncle Danny. For those wondering if they were home sick, I’m pretty sure they didn’t stop long enough to notice we were missing. They were in the best company and in the best spirits.
Aiden’s favorite thing about the trip: Disney and riding in the airplane {a first and according to Aiden, the ride there was the best because they still had an amazing week ahead!}
Christopher’s favorite thing about the trip: Magic Kingdom, more specifically space mountain {I hear they were fearless!}
Jake and I stayed busy meeting contractors and making endless phone calls and painting and prepping Aiden and Chris’s room to surprise them with room makeovers when they returned. What felt like it should have taken a night or two took a week but isn’t that always true? While the big boys were away, Jake had some special time with Mamie. They went to Stanley Park in Westfield and he had a ball feeding the ducks and fish. We are abundantly blessed by incredible family that plays a significant role in our lives.
I’ll have more house updates to share. Please keep us in your prayers if you think of it as we move forward with the sale of our house on Cain Street. Hoping for no more bumps in the road!
Here are a few favorites that were shared throughout the week….
This little man missed his brother immensely but didn’t mind not having to share the tub…
