Bear with me....
As parents of kindergarteners, we were asked a few months back to contribute something for their time capsule. A keepsake to be buried now and enjoyed as Seniors. They asked for personal and/or general contributions. The only prequalification is that they need to be small in size to fit into the class box. And so, for months I have been brainstorming. A task that should be simple but one that I want to get right. I am that Mom. I care and don’t want to embarrass the boys but also don’t want to disappoint. And so, for weeks, I have been working on a personal letter to both Aiden and Chris and am just finally starting to put it on paper. This may be harder than any college essay I’ve written or cover letter I’ve submitted. How do I write a note that will be meaningful in over a decade? I found adorable little glass “message in a bottle” kits. And now, for better or for worse, the note must be kept brief as the paper has to fit into the tiny little jar. I’ve been working on actually writing these letters on and off for 3 days yet I still feel like I have so much more to say. Aside from their personal notes, I’ve decided to put together a collage of the hit movies from their kindergarten year. I thought of doing highlights from 2014/2015 but to be honest, there aren’t many resources on the web. Anyone have any ideas?
For now, I’m stepping aside to share a few pictures of the second floor of our home. We’ve been working in the bonus room and still have a ways to go so those pictures will be forth coming but here are the bedrooms in the meantime.
Our master bedroom (not sure what that funny shadow is on the
back wall. I promise it’s not there in person!)
Our master bath
Chris's plane themed room
Aiden's fishing themed room
The boys bathroom
Jake's themeless room
Come on by for a visit!

Looks great! How do you like having all that extra space? Did you paint all the rooms? I like the color.
