Sillies

With a week of beyond wonderful November weather we’ve been trying to take advantage.  Jake and I snuck out for walks most mornings and with earlier sunsets, I picked the boys up from school mid-week to sneak in a hike before DD… dinner and darkness.  It is good for the soul.  Even with screeching, complaining and whining there is still something peaceful about exploring the woods and I’m never one to pass up an opportunity.

The boys had Tuesday off for elections so we packed up early and headed to Mamie’s to enjoy some outdoor explorations before heading for lunch at the Summer House, the boys ultimate!  Mamie kept the boys for a few hours in the afternoon and I snuck in some work and chores.  A welcomed change of pace for everyone!

I was thrilled to be able to volunteer in Christopher’s classroom on Thursday morning.  It was fun to see him in action and to get to know some of his classmates.  He’s got one heck of an incredible teacher and I’ll look forward to future visits while he still thinks it’s cool to have me there.

Friday Jake and I met Grammie for a visit in the morning before heading to lunch with our friend Gina.  It was ladies day for Jake and he must have enjoyed as he took a great nap and shared stories of our days adventures when the boys arrived home from school.

This morning we had a change in plans and headed to Northwest Park for an attempt at sneaking in this years Christmas card photo.  These boys are hard.  Awkward looks, forced smiles and spilled potty words…. the special things that memories are made of (haha).  We explored a new trail and headed home for lunch.

Here’s a sneak peak at some of our fun.  Can you tell who was having a terrific two’s day?!? (And yes, in the third picture he is pretending to poop)
