Chris sporting the same hairstyle as Daddy! Like father, like son...
Aiden's contributions to make our dinner tonight. What a good helper!
Aiden (L) and Chris (R) wearing their gorgeous new hats that our friend Lynn MADE herself! They are two peas in a pod and are too darn cute! How can you get made at them when they are wearing such darn cute hats? All that I can do is grin!
Chris says, Mom is wasn't me..... as he takes out Aiden! Maybe he's forgotten that Aiden outweighs him???
Chris has taken a liking to beating, I mean eating Aiden up! Aiden is a great sport!
I tried to talk Mike into writing tonight's post to add some humor but wasn't successful. So you're stuck with me. This week we began to notice not stranger anxiety but separation anxiety. In the blink of an eye, Aiden and/or Chris will realize that we left or are leaving and suddenly have a complete melt down. The days of sneaking out of the room without them noticing are long gone. We also noticed the early beginnings of a temper tantrum in Chris today when we he wanted Daddy's glass of water and couldn't get it and wouldn't give up until he got it. This is only the beginning, I know! Thankfully we are able to distract them at this point but I know this trick won't last forever. Mike and I laugh though because both Aiden and Chris have become very strong willed and have great determination. The jury is still out as to whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.
This weekend I got out on my own to run some errands on Saturday morning and went to lunch with some friends. I was thrilled to come home and find that the boys had a blast together. Daddy has set up a camping tent in the livingroom, complete with their Little Tikes kitchen set, two bean bag chairs and a few misc toys. Needless to say, I don't think I was missed! I was spoiled even further to have Grammie & Dziadz Pt come over Saturday night to watch the boys for a while so that Mike and I could have some time to ourselves. Unfortunately Mike and I are old, boring and dull and chose to spend our time cleaning our basement but we both felt GREAT after getting a big more organized. Aiden and Chris also had fun.
We have been asked whether we can tell Aiden and Chris apart based on their voices. In the past I would have said no but this has recently changed as they have taken a liking to using their own distinct babbling word. Aiden who is recently a Momma's boy likes to say "dadadada" while Chris who is a Dadda's boy choses to say "mamamama." It is VERY cute... who can resist baby babble, especially when it resembles your name :)
