All is fun and games for Aiden when he can be DIRTY!

It has been a great week! The boys discovered the fireplace and the magic of playing and painting with charcoal. I can assure you that this experiment was short lived! Their other new trick this week is to take a big sip of their drink only to then spit it back out. Where do kids learn to cause such trouble at a young age??? Tonight Aiden was a perfect instigator - Mike would turn the fan on and Aiden would quickly sneak over and turn the fan off. This happened more times than you can count on both hands. Mike eventually smartened up and trained Chris to turn the fan on so he could relax and watch the show!
Since this is my third and hopefully final attempt to post today/tonight (Blogger kept going down and not saving my draft!!!), I am going to keep it brief. We checked out a new park in East Hartford with our friends Megan and Calvin. The park, Jonathan's Dream, is a playground for "all ages and all abilities." Chris and Aiden LOVED the park! Chris ran in circles and quickly met a little friend, Chloe who decided that she would follow Chris around and take care of him. They loved the park because there were tons of structures to climb on and everything was low to the ground. I loved it because it was fenced in and safe. It was a win, win and I was so grateful that Megan introduced us to such a fun place!
We also had our regular visit with Grammie Hopkins while I went for the dentist - Take 2. My teeth are in tip top shape now and I hope to not return for many months! Dziadz came later in the afternoon and we went to visit Great Grammie Babci and Auntie Teresa in Bristol, CT. Aiden and Chris were shy but this reserve only lasted about 10 minutes before they were quickly running circles, skipping up the stairs and opening any cabinet and drawer they could find. We had a great visit and came home to finally get out Civic back which has been under repair twice in the past week! Ugghh...
Today we went for a swim with our friends Mathieu and Caroline. Aiden and Chris were in their glory and truly loved being in the water. Their kiddy pool is the perfect depth so that the boys can stand and cool off but not be fearful. It was a great way to stay cool in good company and the perfect way to spend a hot afternoon!
