Trouble on the tractor - Chris driving and Aiden riding backseat

Here comes... Chris

Aiden in the basket of puzzle pieces

"Tractor driver" Chris looks like a deer in headlights!

Firefighter Aiden appears to be loving his job!

Happy Birthday today to my wonderful Grandma, Mimi! We look forward to visiting and celebrating with her this coming weekend!

"Dizzit" is the resounding sound in our house lately and is the self created version of "What is it?" repeated by Aiden and Chris at least 5000 times each a day! (Maybe I should add dizzit to my computer spell check so it won't come up again and again and again, but then again Aiden, Dziadz, and Pt are all notorious for coming up as misspellings time after time and keep me on my toes)! While I assumed it would get old trying to explain and label everything, I actually couldn't be enjoying it any more. I LOVE watching the boys explore, learn and figure things out. They are such curious little pumpkins and its so fun to try to guess the way that their brains are working. SO fun!

What a different sort of week it has been. As I mentioned in my last post, Mike left early Monday morning for a three day trip to the Berkshires for work. Going from a house full of adults on vacation to being all by myself has taken some adjustment. Yes, I admit it, I locked all of the doors each night and checked them and double checked and triple checked them and so on. I also slept with my cellphone next to my bed but anyone who knows me knows that I like to get myself scared, weird, I know. Gosh what would I do if I lived in the middle of now where? Maybe it would be good for me! Even though it has been almost a year since I have been home alone at night, I did well this time I enjoyed my quiet time after the boys went to bed but I also had lots of company after all. I was so thankful to have Grammie Hopkins and Aunt Lynda come over yesterday morning. We enjoyed a walk in the gorgeous weather then I headed out to restock our fridge. I also really appreciated Dziadz Pt's visits on Monday and Tuesday night after work to help wear out of the boys and get them ready for bed. Last night we even headed to Northwest Park to see the animals, playground and most importantly the tractors. Man, am I lucky or what? I am super eager for Mike to return tonight... so, welcome home to Mike, we all missed him for sure!

Speaking of tractors, anyone have any ideas on how to make a wearable tractor costume for Halloween? Maybe I am crazy but the boys are crazy about tractors. I have been looking online but only seem to come across costumes that seem immobible which would not boad well for my active little monkeys. Anyone have any ideas themed outfits? I am trying to think of something that the boys could be that would be a "pair" and would LOVE to hear from anyone with ideas!

The boys have the best sense of humor. They crack me up and I love how they love to entertain. Truly never a dull moment! Teeth are erupting everwhere! Chris can officially say Aiden's name! The boys continue to master new animal sounds and love to identify the sounds that objects make. They still aren't too interested in naming or identifying things but take pride in making the associated sounds. They also love to dress up (firemen, truck drivers, army men & tractor drives) and play pretend and "If You're Happy and You Know It" is their new favorite song. Life is good!
