We're back!

Where to even begin? We had an absolutely perfect vacation, even with rain, high winds and cool temps almost everyday. What could be better than a week away spent relaxing with family? Certainly not much!

Since I have so many pictures to share (I have a slight addiction and took 590 pictures somehow... oops!) I will keep it brief and share a few highlights:
- Chris and Aiden had their first trip to Maine! The driving part of the trip went well.... two hours without any complaining and the last hour spent trying to negotiate! We are still trying to figure out how to successfully negotiate with two 19 month olds!
- As always, I had far too much to pack but was ever so thankful to have a larger car, so thank you Grammie and Grandpa Hopkins for your timing with the car swap!
- We ate and ate and ate! Heck, thats what vacation is all about, right?
- The boys had their 19 month birthday!
- Dziadz celebrated a wonderful birthday and we were lucky enough to join in and indulge in some delicious cake!
- Auntie Laura got to spend an entire week with the boys and Uncle Dan flew in to join us Tuesday night - Saturday morning!
- Chris and Aiden had their second beach experience. Despite the fridged cold, 60 degree water temps, they LOVED it! The sand was a hit and the ran in circles playing until their bodies were numb! We did get two afternoons with partial sun in which we took full advantage and enjoyed the beach (even though we were still all bundled up!)
- We went out to ice cream and donuts... twice!
- Aiden and Chris both got one new tooth (and several tooth aches to go along with them!)
- The boys experienced their first candy shop and selected a lolly pop to enjoy.
- I enjoyed some shopping excursions with Grammie Pt and Auntie Laura while the boys napped. I was even forced to relax at night as I didnt have a house to clean or projects to work on - what a treat!
- Aiden and Chris found a wonderful rock collection and a new appreciation for things from nature as we spent a lot of time burning energy in the backyard of the cottage.
- Mike and I become last choice with so many other adults around to spoil the boys. Chris grew quite fond of Grammie and was reluctant to share her with anyone else.
- Grammie, Dziadz, Auntie and Uncle Dan had some excitement coming home as their boogie board had a flying adventure, leaving their roof rack to hit the Mercedes behind them on the highway. Opps!
- Back to reality but also back for some amazing weather! Mike leaves for a work trip tomorrow morning and will be gone for three days. I am not sure what I am going to do with myself, going from being around 4 adults to being by myself! Returning home from vacation is always bittersweet. There is certainly nothing like sleeping in your own bed and after 14 loads of laundry yesterday, I was ready to relax but it is SO nice to have such wonderful company and many memories and without Laura around, I am left to pick on Mike :)
