On the hunt for Crammer the kitty at Grammie & Dziadzu's this weekend.

Aiden pulling up weeds to be Mommy's helper.

Aiden practcing his rock throwing (although come to think of it, it does look a lot like he is squatting to go to the bathroom!)

Chris playing on our parachute.

So much fun... he (C) just wanted to roll in it!

Today Aiden wants to be a fireman when he grows up but for now he is going to be an ant.

Chris wants to grow up to be a trash truck driver but will be a bird in the meantime. I love how their creative minds are always so busy at work. I may be partial but I am pretty sure that I have two of the most imaginative little tikes for more reasons than I could list.

Well out of no where, we now have heat... and humidity... and bugs. Uggh! I wish someone would give those pesty little May flies the memo that today is June 1st, May was so yesterday and they can now go AWAY and pretty please take their mosquito friends with them!

We have had a quiet start to the week as we have been invaded by the flu and cold. Double wammy but we are hoping that we are on the mend. Needless to say, all plans were off for Monday -today. Mamie was great and was a willing sport who came over anyways to spend some time with A & C yesterday while I went to work with Mike. We had a great day at work and I know Aiden and Chris had an awesome time with Mamie. They haven't stopped talking about the swimming, playing and singing that they did. We have some talkers on our hands but I'm not complaining. Heck, I think they take after me in that sense.

I have been busy with a new project for our guest bedroom/office/my craft room. I'll post a picture once it's done but I have my work cut out for me.

If anyone is struggling with poisin ivy invading as we were, I found a great recipe for pet and kiddo safe homemade spray. I tried it on Monday and checked today and the poisin ivy is on it's way out. Yeah! So... in case you are in need as I was, this recipe is super easy and super inexpensive compared to all of the money we have spent on Ortho products already. Give it a shot!

3 cups white vinegar

1/2 cup salt

2 TBSP dish soap (Dawn recommended)

Boil the vinegar & salt mixture until the salt disintigrated. Let this mixture cool then add the soap. Fill a spray bottle and go to town! This will kill most weeds and plants as well so be sure to only spray vegitation that you don't care about. I had to triple the batch for my first attempt and will repeat as needed as I have been thrilled with the results. Your house may stinks but at least you won't be itching :)

PS - I also used this mixture of the pesky little weeds growing up on the side of my walkway and it worked in my "trial spot!" Yeah!!!
