Tis the season to be jolly, eat lots of yummy food and be surrounded by the Christmas spirit and this weekend that’s just what we did!

Thursday we had a great day with Ashley.  We started some Christmas gifts early and made salt dough ornaments.  I love busy projects and this one did the trick!  I headed out to run some errands with A & C before Daddy got home from work and then headed out to the chocolate sparkletini party (yes, all things chocolate with delicious adult beverages!) with some of my most favorite friends.  We had a great time and it was so nice to have everyone together!  Thank you Leeanne for being a wonderful hostess.

Friday the boys and I got brave and headed out to the mall.  We had a return to make our honest intent was to people watch, santa spot and mix up our afternoon routine.  The boys were in their glory in the Enfield mall when the spotted Santa, blew him a kiss and received one in return! It was a good day.  We headed home, did some cleaning and baking and were thrilled to see Daddy home a bit early when a meeting got cancelled.

Mike spent all of Saturday laboring away in our basement. He is good to us!  He is cruising along with the framing and is nearing completion of the first part of this project.  So exciting as we start to see the room take shape.  I am already figuring out how I can fill up my wonderful new closets… every girls dream! I did some holiday preparations with the boys and we enjoyed a visit with Aunt Lynda who stopped over with some goodies.  It was a fun, relaxing, productive day.

This morning we headed out early for an appreciation breakfast before church.  We were treated to some wonderful food and treats before heading into the service.  Aiden and Chris love their teachers for Sunday school and get so excited every time they see them which is fun to watch.  No more days of separation anxiety for us! After church we scooted home and headed back out again for the extended Ptaszynski family party in Belchertown.  It was a wonderful afternoon and time flew by as we all visited and enjoyed one another’s company.  Its not often that everyone gets together anymore so it is a much anticipated event. We had a ball and I am pretty sure A & C are master present openers now! Thank you Mom and Dad for being wonderful host/hostess!

This week is all about enjoying the simple things like baking, reading Christmas stories, wrapping up last minute gifts and being in the spirit.  I don’t know about you, but we can’t wait!

Dec 16-18, 2011 009Dec 16-18, 2011 014I apologize… All things are not equal this week as I realized I didn’t take any good pictures at our parties this weekend and I also don’t have any shots of Aiden (poor kid got a big fat lip today so it may be a while before we get “good pictures” again!

Here is Chris and Ashley playing dress up and Chris on his favorite phone.  This phone is over 1 1/2 years old. Accidentally the kids pressed the power button and it turned on! He was so excited as you can tell in the picture to have a “real” phone.  Thankfully we have switched service providers since so he couldn’t get in any trouble playing around and having fun and that is just what he did!
