Happy Father’s Day!!!

I love that we have two amazing Dads to love, admire and celebrate on Father’s Day and I am proud that my Aiden and Chris will say the same about Mike and the incredible father that he is so naturally.  Happy Father’s Day to the many amazing men out there!

Our routine this week was a bit different as we were without Ashley for the first time in a very long time.  My friend Steph welcomed baby Julia Wednesday morning and will now be home enjoying some time with her growing family and adorable little girls.  We were thrilled to stop by today so meet Julia and to bring them a Father’s Day meal.  She is a beautiful little peanut and I am so excited to see the special role that she will play in their family.  Congratulations to the Tetreault’s on baby girl #2!

Thursday we ended up at the Dr.’s only to find out that Chris had strep throat.  Poor kid never complained and I was totally clueless.  Now fingers crossed that the rest of us don’t get sick in time for vacation!  We cancelled plans and decided to lay low Thursday afternoon as we didn’t want to share our germs with anyone. We had a relaxing day at home, walking to do an errand at the Post Office and getting some chores and clean up done. Isn’t it the best to start the weekend on a clean note?  Sure it only lasts about 5 minutes in our house but those are 5 cherished minutes!

Friday Auntie Laura came for a visit!  We ran a few errands and hit the town beach for the afternoon and what a day is was to be out enjoying the sunshine and peaceful lake.  We had so much fun and are attempting to convince her and Eric to move to Suffield so if you see her, please feel free to put on some heat because I don’t think we stand a chance… Happy thought none the less!

Saturday we headed out for some errands and came home to do some chores before packing up and heading to Belchertown.  Aiden and Chris had a dinner and playdate with Grammie and Dziadzu while Mike and I headed to Worcester for an adults game night at Auntie Laura’s.  What fun it was to be together with our old childhood friends, Kym and Heather and their husbands… always makes for entertaining stories, conversations and jokes and SO much fun!  We headed home late and stayed at Grammie and Dziadzu’s for a Father’s Day brunch this morning.  Grammie and I tried an amazing new recipe for cream cheese strawberry stuffed french toast… yummo! (highly recommended!)  and of course Grammie had all kinds of other yummy goodies.  A perfect way to start a Sunday! We had a lazy morning with some visiting and gifts and headed home and back to the town beach.  It was Mike’s day of choice and we all had a lot of fun.
