As they grow older, the plans start early and their flexibility lessens.  They know what they want down to the very last detail.  Halloween was no exception.  Aiden and Chris started talking Halloween as the summer came to a close.  By September they were ready to fully commit and costumes were ordered.  Aiden being practical give the decision some thought and decided on Lionel Messi so that he could get the ultimate soccer uniform that had been on his wish list for quite some time, writing it off as a Halloween necessity.  Chris was set on Darth Vader. The real deal with a very specific costume in mind.  While it was a bit of a splurge, he's my dress up boy and he's worn it before, during and after Halloween. Money well spent.  And Jake, well he fell in line with my ideas and agreed to give the furry Old Navy tiger costume a second life.  Possibly one of the last years I have a saw in anyone's costumes.

The night was a hit.  My parents joined us to hold down the fort as we ventured out for a quick candy scoop in the neighborhood with friends.  After filling their bellies with sweet treats, the big boys greeted our visitors, enjoyed the neighbors hot tub and called it a night.

Another successful Halloween and sugar high in the books.
