This afternoon we were so grateful for to have so many friends and family members come to show their love and support at our baby shower at my mom and dads house. The company was wonderful, the food was amazing and despite two slides off incidents in my parents driveway (not to mention any names but you know who you are :) ) , we were thankful that everyone made it out and home safely. We had people come from CT, NY and Boston just for us! We have been so blessed not only by the gift of two wonderful, healthy babies and an easy pregnancy but also by the love, support and generosity of our family and friends. Mike and I are so overwhelmed and grateful to have such amazing people in our lives!
So this week is the start of our 30th week. My only concern at this point is that I am only one inch away from having my belly touch the steering wheel which could make driving in the upcoming weeks interesting. I still feel great and have a Dr.'s appointment on Wednesday. I went for a blood glucose screening last week and they found that my levels were a bit elevated so I am doing a 12 hour fast and a 3 hour blood test on Wednesday morning. We are also at the point where we are going for Dr.'s appointments every two weeks so Wednesday afternoon we have a regular check up and will hopefully hear good blood glucose test results later in the week (although I am not so sure that all of the goodies and sweets at the shower today will help that cause). No ultrasound at this appointment unfortunately. We have been very spoiled where we schedule our Dr.'s appointment once a month and go for an ultrasound every time. Now that our appointments are getting closer together, we won't be able to see the boys every time we go... I guess that gives us something to look forward to in another 2 weeks hopefully. I will keep you updated about our appointment this week.
More exciting news this week is that our front hallway wood floors will finally be installed and refinished professionally.... Yeah! Mike is traveling to Florida this week for work and I am relocating to my parents house to avoid the fumes from the floor sealer. Mike and I are very excited to have the house totally pulled back together and we are looking forward to hopefully having a few weeks of down time once the projects cease before the babies make their appearance. At the very least we are looking forward to no longer stubbing our toes at night and no longer dusting the house 50 times a week! We don't have any new pictures this week, although I will hopefully have some of the completed hallway shortly.
