Week 29

Today starts week 29 for us.  We had a great weekend and I am still feeling great.  This week I was able to finally use "baby terminology" for the cramping that I have been feeling from time to time in my belly.  I was catching up on some reading and realized that what I have been experiencing is braxton hicks (I hope I spelt that right!)  It is nice to know there is a name to describe the feeling and even better to know it is totally normal.

The babies continue to move a lot and everyday I wake up feeling like my belly grew a few inches over night.  Mike laughs at me telling me that he's amazed how I am always able to amuse myself daily my looking at my belly.  I think I am still adjusting to the rapid expansion and still thrilled that I still don't have stretch marks.

Mike and I made a lot of progress in the nursery this weekend.  Grandpa Tony did a great job painting a crib and changing table white for us and they are now officially set up in the nursery.  We also got our baby bedding from Grandma and Grandpa Pt. so we have one crib set up and ready for some babies! The second crib will be set up (hopefully shortly) in our bedroom for the first few months after the babies arrival.  Mike worked hard to prime and paint the french doors which are now hung and look awesome!  I spent 90% of my day today sorting, organizing and cleaning the nursery and somehow managing to get distracted with just about every task I did.  I also washed the floor in the nursery today knowing that it is one of those jobs that will only get harder to complete with time.  Phew... what a weekend!  The new pictures from today show some of the progress in the nursery.  We are still working to finish to hallway and are missing half of our hardwood floors in that room but after a few little touch up projects in the nursery, we'll be off to make some progress in the hall.  Minutes continue to turn into hours, which turns into days and weeks and time continues to fly! We can't wait!
