YES! Christopher came home yesterday afternoon! Mike and I couldn't be more thrilled. It felt awesome being able to get up this morning and truly enjoy the boys rather than rushing around to get everything together to spend the day at the hospital. Christopher did awesome on his first night home. So far he seems to be a very easy going baby who (knock on wood) has been content just laying in his crib looking around. Aiden on the other hand means business. When he is awake, he wants you to know. Both boys love to be held but Aiden has been a bit more needy when it comes to TLC. Neither Mike nor I are complaining though :)
We had one boy up consistently wanting to feed every 2-3 hours. At the NICU they had them on a pretty regular feeding schedule but with the time change yesterday it threw them boy off a bit. Both boys are eaters though and have successfully mastered nursing and are also able to bottle feed when easier to save mom some time for the middle of the night feedings. So far we have been so lucky and have not needed formula at all!
Aiden had his first Dr.'s appointment Saturday morning. He was a champ and although he didn't like having to get naked and poked and prodded he did find enjoyment in sucking on the Dr.'s knuckle :) Aiden grew about a half inch since birth and is now up to 5 pounds and 3 ounces. The Dr. was thrilled with his growth.
Christopher is also growing like a weed. He is up to 4 pounds and 11 ounces and hasn't been measured for length yet. Aiden and Chris both have Dr.'s appointments this Wednesday and they will be weighed and and have quick check ups. Unfortunately since neither of the boys were 5 pounds when they were discharged, our pediatrician suggested that we wait to have them circumcised. Both boys will have to go to a pediatric surgeon in about 2 weeks to have the procedure done. They claim that it doesn't hurt them anymore to have it done later but I wonder if they just say that to make the parents feel better.
Saturday, Mike and I spent the afternoon at the hospital with Christopher while Aiden was home being spoiled by the entire Hopkin's family (Great Grandma Tag, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Martha, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Jerry, Aunt Stephanie & Uncle Andrew). It was quite a good ratio for little Mr. Aiden. Christopher enjoyed his one on one time with Mommy and Daddy and listened well to our pep talks when we told him that he had to have a night with good weight gain to be able to come home on Sunday. A 3 ounce weight gain for Chris did the trick!
Yesterday, Grandma and Grandpa Pt. came over to spoil Aiden with lots of hugs and kisses while Mike and I went to break Christopher out! Chris loved his car ride home and smiled most of the night after he contently checked out all of his new surroundings. Auntie Laura and Tommy came to visit yesterday afternoon and again had lots of TLC to share with the boys.
Last night Aiden got his second chance at having a big boy bath. Things went much better and while I'm not convinced he is going to be a water boy, his screeches were toned down and the cleaning was successful.

Yea!! So glad Christopher made it home. I'm sure he is glad to be back with Aiden and have both of you around all the time. They are so cute and I had such a blast holding and cuddling with little Aiden. Hope to see them both soon.
